I was opposed to GU for many years, but I caved in once, and haven't gone back. It doesn't sit in your stomach, you don't have to chew, and Espresso Love is amazing. The only problem is it's easy to litter the top that you tear off, so be careful.

As disgusting as GU sounds, I actually think it works. Bars don't sit well in my stomach without a ton of water, and GU is ok with not as much water. It serves my needs because I don't cramp up on rides like my friends do. I've tried Hammer Gel, Clif Shot, and this one is the most paletable for me. It says it has caffeine in it which I am usually averse to, but it must be the right amount because my heart doesn't start racing like most caffinated items do to me. The Vanilla also doesn't taste bad when I have it with Gatorade or some other fruity drink. Could it be better? Maybe if it had protein in it. But I'm sure that would compromise the flavor. Highly recommend it.
