New Shoe Smell, Sunday, July 05, 2009Reviewed by connortsai Current clipless setup:
Louis Garneau Air Compo shoes
Shimano SPD-SL cleats (Yellow, 15deg float)
Shimano R540 pedals
These shoes are quite comfortable. The vents on the bottom help to keep my feet relatively dry during long rides. The carbon sole helps for stiffness and my power output can be felt well-transferred. Initially, I was searching for a shoe that had a ratcheting mechanism on the first strap but the 3 velcro straps on the Air Compo was sufficient to keep my foot in place. Finally, the thing I like best about new shoes is the smell. Even though I've put in around 200-300 miles since I picked up the shoes two weeks ago, it still has the new shoe smell :] |
