Reviewed by jmanI have to agree with Roland on this one. I like this shoe with respect to weight, stiffness, and easy-on access (great bc can open up the shoe very wide). However, I have an average foot (never considered narrow) and I find that the reverse straps do in fact bump or touch the crank arms during normal cycling rotations. Not all the time but frequently enough that it is annoying. I will end up cutting the strap a bit, and I don't think that a clean cut will be very likely and is not something that a buyer should have to do.
Reviewed by RolandThis shoe is definitely light so its lives up to its name. However I have to give it 3 stars based on the "too" grippy heel cup and the reverse velcro strap. The fabric in the heel is very grippy (think fine-grit sandpaper) so much so that when im trying to pull my foot out during a flying dismount I find myself putting forth way too much effort. I almost fell trying the first time I used them. Also the reverse velcro strap is too long and gets caught on the crank arm. Very annoying. I recommend the Northwave Tribute over this shoe.
Reviewed by AutodidactThe carbon composite sole is worth writing home about. This triathlon specific bike shoe is vented to help keep your feet dry and cool. The single reversed strap is also one of my favorite features, as it makes it easy to put on and take off. I've gone as far as never using my regular cycling shoes anymore because the tri-lites have been good to me.
