The highest-end wetsuit in the Hurricane series, the Category 5, was created using the finest fabric available. The suit's outside is made exclusively of the lightest Yamamoto Nano SCS rubber. The combination of super stretchy rubber with the soft jersey fabric on the interior makes for a superior fit and feel. With nearly a quarter of a century dedicated to analyzing the strokes of the world's top swimmers for the Olympics, TYR has taken on the challenge to further innovate the triathlon wetsuit. Working with world renowned triathlete Andy Potts, TYR has created the Hurricane Cat 5. The wetsuit's extensive range of motion zones eliminates constriction, allowing the swimmer to achieve a long reach while placing no strain on the shoulder. Featuring the lightest Yamamoto Nano SCS Coated 5mm neoprene panels throughout the entire leg, chest, and core to raise the swimmer in the water and reduce form drag. Tapered legs allow the ankle of the suit to reverse and open for a quick and effortless removal during transition. The highest end suit in the Hurricane series. Hurricane Woman's fit is what every female triathlete is looking for and is designed and engineered specifically for the shape and fit of a woman's body. This means more comfort and better overall body position to optimize efficiency.

Reviewed by gmoneyNo really, put this suit on and you too will feel like a creature in the water. The Cat 5 is undoubtedly the most flexible wetsuit I've ever swum in. I've been swimming 21 of the 24 years in my life, so I feel that I have a fairly good take on understanding my body's placement in the water. This suit gave me incredible (almost freaky) buoyancy. It uses the highest grade of neoprene and technologies out on the triathlon wetsuit market. The quick release cuffs allowed me to pop the suit off in a few seconds. Chrissie Wellington uses it so that must mean something right? I'd say only downfall is the sensitivity of the neoprene. With flexiblity tends to come delicate meaning it's really not your every day suit to be training in. More of your secret swim weapon.
