The Zoot Women's CompressRx Sock 2010 is perfect for racing, recovering and hard training sessions. With the Zoot Women's CompressRx Sock, driving or flying home from a race no longer needs to be a painful reminder of what you've just done to your legs. Recover and travel with Zoot's CRx graduated compression that provides 26mmHg (mmHg is the unit of measurement used in compression garments) at the ankle and decreases to 18 mmHg just below the knee allowing faster venous return from the feet and ankles. High levels of compression increase the pressure in the tissues beneath the skin thus reducing excess leakage of fluid from the capillaries and increasing absorption of tissue fluid by the capillaries. The basic idea is to limit damage and aid the body in doing what it naturally does in flushing damaged muscle tissue. An Achilles proprioceptive zone is located at the rear of the sock to both support the Achilles and add comfort to these antimicrobial compression socks. The Zoot Women's CompressRx Sock is also foot specific with padded foot soles to prevent irritation. Perform better with the Zoot Women's CompressRx Sock

Reviewed by gmoneyAs far as compression goes, there are far and few companies that have some serious scientific backing as well as can state they actually use medical grade compression. Zoot is one of them. Love these socks. Reduced by soreness, and recovery time. Perfect for not only training, but plane rides and days where you'll be standing for a long time as well. I take these everywhere. Love these Compress RX Socks.
Reviewed by emintaipeiTried these on for the first time today after a 1 hr run + bike gym workout then back to the desk for the rest of a 6 hr workday. Typically my calves would be sore and stiff after sitting for 2 hours. The socks work as advertised - they are tight, compressive fitting but not uncomfortable. I feel as though there is extra support on my calves. No soreness. Nice padding at the heel and toe pad. The socks are a challenge to put on, since it's really tight but once they're on, they stay put!
Reviewed by trimeI'm moderately active (run _20mi/week) and I carry these with me everywhere - when I go on planes or am traveling, when I go for hikes, when I go for runs and I'm not wearing my compression pants, or even on days my legs just feel tired and achy sitting in the office. My leg muscles doing these activities would normally feel a little tired or rubbery, but I really haven't had much of that at all since wearing the compression socks. I used to be a skeptic. Not anymore! Pros: fantastic lower leg support. Cons: doesn't go well with skirts. :)
